The story : In 1819 , young Tom Nickerson had taken to the seas with a group of whalers.
With no family , young Tom had no other option than to follow the other men of Nantucket for work.
Many months on the grueling sea and no sight of whales.
Food and patience become scarce when the men finally make a kill.
Ready for another , only this time its seems the whale is trying to get its revenge on them.
Only the lucky survive the next couple years...
