Mother! (2017)

The story : A quiet couple lives in a big old house in seclusion.
He is a writer who is having some difficulty writing lately and she is fixing up their home.
All the time she is concerned about him and his well being.
She shows much support but is seeing signs that that just isn't enough for him.
One evening a stranger shows up at their door.
The man of the house welcomes the stranger with open arms while the lady of the house is quite uneasy about it.
Then the man of the house invites the stranger to stay.
Then the mans wife.
Then their kids show up.
The more people that show up the more the man of the house seems to be pleased with every and any situation the couple is put in.
But this isn't working for the woman of the house...

Winchester (2018)

The story : A lawyer working for the Winchester Repeating Arms Company contacts psychiatrist Eric Price.
He would like the doctor to visit and diagnois the mental capabilities of his boss , co owner of the Arms Company , Mrs. Winchester.
The doctor believing the job to be an easy way to make some money , takes it on.
Shortly after arriving he interviews Mrs. Winchester.
The doctor finds the woman quite clever but he isn't convinced of her sanity.
She explains to him that her home is occupied by ghosts , whose lives were taken by the very weapons her company manufactures.

The Gate (1987)

The story : After having a strange nightmare that something isnt right at home , Glen wakes up to find his tree house is being torn down and the tree deconstructed.
While checking out the scene , he stumbles on a geode in the ground where the tree was.
He calls up his buddy Terry who insists they keep digging for more.
They do find another but they also find some other pretty weird stuff in the ground.
Terry goes home for a bit and while listening to his heavy metal records he notices some similarities on the albums cover to the things he and Glen found in the ground.
Now they are certain that they have actually awoken some ancient demons and opened a door to hell.

Mother Knows Best (1997)


This movie is based on a true story. 
The names have been changed.
In reality , this is the story of a sociallite from Boca Raton named Lee Goldsmith (Celeste for the movie) , her daughter Arleen (Laurel - movie) and 2nd son-in-law David Bowenstein (Ted - movie).
Made for TV , airing April 13th in the US.
Filmed in Utah.
The story : Celeste is eager for her soon-to-be very successful daughter to get into a relationship.
She believes her daughter deserves an equally successful suitor.
While her mother tries impressing this on her , Laurel explains she is just too busy for a relationship.
But her mother will not take no for an answer.
Celeste reads a newspaper ad from a man who seems perfect for her daughter and sets up a meeting.
Laurel isn't thrilled by this but after talking to the guy , decides to meet him.
The two actually hit it off but immediately after Celeste meets him she believes he isn't the right guy for her daughter.
As hard as it is for Laurel to be estranged from her mother she becomes just that because of her whirlwind romance ,  wedding and then arrival of her new baby.
But Celeste will stop at nothing when it comes to geting rid of her new son-in-law.

The story : Vera Jo Reigle was a young woman with some mental disabilities.
She began a relationship with Zachary Brooks who was 6 years younger than herself.
Now living with Zachary in his mother Sugar Babe Brooks house , Sugar Babe wanted a grandbaby and talked Vera Jo and Zachary into having one.
But soon Zachary no longer wanted to be in a relationship with Vera Jo.
And Sugar Babe just wanted their baby.
When Zacharys cousin Danny got out of jail , he and his girlfriend began staying at the Brooks home.
Sugar Babe began telling Danny and his girlfriend lies about Vera Jo.
This was necessary when "people" decided that it was time for Vera Jo to go.

The Uncanny (1977)

The story : A writer is eager to have his latest book published.
The publisher who is considering his book isn't convinced of its content.
The writer claims the book to be all true tales , of murder and mayhem , all done by cats.
He tells the publisher three stories from history....
London 1912 : Miss Malkin is a rich lady who is bedridden and surrounds herself with her beloved cats.
She has just updated her will , leaving everything to her cats.
Her housekeeper Janet, who is in co hoots with the her nephew ,  has been asked by him to get a hold of the will.
While attempting to do so , Janet  is caught by Miss Malkin and that is when Janet does the unspeakable.
But the cats will not allow her to get away with that so easily.
Quebec  Province 1975 : Young Lucy has just lost her parents to a tragedy.
The only thing Janet has left is her cat/best friend Wellington.
Janet is sent to live with her snooty aunt , uncle and just as snooty cousin Angela.
From the get go , Angela is jealous of Lucy and Wellingtons relationship , so she makes trouble for them.
All this helps snooty auntie want to get rid of Wellington even faster.
But Judy and Wellington come up with the perfect idea.
and , lastly , Hollywood 1936 : While making a film , movie actress Madeleine is killed , seemingly by mistake.
But it was actually part of her co star/husbands plan.
He wants to move his wife's understudy into the movie in her place as well as into his bed.
But Madeleine has a cat that hasn't forgotten her.

The story : In 1966 , Dan Ellsberg who was working as a military analyst went to Vietnam to see what was going on.
What he saw wasn't good.
When asked if he thought the war was getting better or worse , he said there was no change he could see but the government reported that we were making progress.
The cover up and lies pushed Ellsberg to steal government documents and make copies of them....
Fast forward to 1971.
When The Washington Post is looking for a big story to make the newspaper better and a competitor , people behind the paper get a hold of Ellsberg.
The newspaper is determined to make the governments plans public , as they all believe the world has the right to know the truth.
