Sinister 2 (2015)

The story: Courtney has recently separated from her abusive husband.
She, along with her two young boys have taken up residency in a farmhouse in the middle of nowhere.
Next door to the farmhouse is a church where multiple murders had taken place.
This doesn't seem to bother Courtney very much but it is affecting both of her sons in different ways.
A man who has been burning down houses where the same kind of murder that happened in the church shows up at the house, unexpected.
He didn't know anyone was living in the house but his intentions are good, considering he showed up to burn the place down.
The house is hiding an evil secret and the longer Courtney and her sons stay there , the worse the danger becomes.

The story: Cassie seemingly has everything.

But Cassie has been battling some demons.
She was in a tragic accident where she lost her mom, who was her best friend.
In the accident, Cassie suffered a lot of head trauma, which now causes her to have bad headaches.
Cassie does her best to make each day a good one.
While hanging with her girlfriends one friend shows her a new personal assistant app that she's been using on her phone which Cassie thinks is neat.
When her boyfriend begins giving her the blow-off and she starts getting depressed about her mom, she decides to download the app.
Right away Cassie is excited to have someone to be close with and she even decides to call her app "mom".
But when Cassie realizes her boyfriend is a player and has been cheating with her friend among other people, Cassie gets ideas from "mom" about how to handle such things.

Little do they realize, there is a group of guys who have been planning on getting in the house, looking for a safe full of cash.
But the guys expect the house will be empty.
This causes quite a night for all of them.

The story: Will is invited, along with his girlfriend, to his ex-wife Eden and her boyfriends' home for a dinner party.
The party will basically consist of all prior friends of Will and Eden from when they were still married and it will be at Will and Eden's previous home, where Eden and her new beau are now living.
It has been two years since Will has seen any of the people at the party and it's all a bit awkward for him, especially seeing how losing his only son with Eden is what broke up their marriage.
Will tries his best to be comfortable but things seem off to him.
He is continuously roaming around the house and seeing things that he finds strange.
Then the group plays an honesty game at Eden's boyfriend's request.
Will and the other guests that know each other get a bit freaked out to learn that Eden and her boyfriend have been attending a healing retreat.
Will believes the retreat is really just a cult and Eden has now lost all her marbles.
Then , after the honesty story Eden and her boyfriends' friend tells about accidentally but violently killing his wife, one of their guests decides to leave.
When Will finally gets some phone service and listens to a message from a friend who is supposed to be at the party, he loses his shit and his girlfriend wants them to leave.
But... they stay on, until... well, after dinner the wine is served...

Eli (2019)

The story: Eli is a young boy.
A couple years back he was attacked by an immune deficiency disorder.
Now Eli spends his life in a plastic bubble just so he can breathe.
Eli wants to live a normal life like before his disease struck him down and his parents are dedicated to finding a doctor who can cure him.
This time around they believe they found just the doctor.
Eli and his parents go and stay at a germ-free clean house operated by Dr. Horn.
Dr. Horn claims to have cured all of her patients, although at the moment Eli is the only one.
At first, things seem hopeful but after the first treatment, Eli seems to be hallucinating and seeing ghosts.
Eli is continuously attacked and visited by ghosts but no one in the house will believe him.
That's when he decides to look deeper into the hospital.
What he finds is exactly what he thought he would.
Instead of Dr. Horn trying to help him, Eli believes she is really trying to kill him.

The story: When Adelaide was little she had a pretty traumatizing experience in a funhouse on the beach of Santa Cruz one evening when wandering away from her parents.
Her parents were very worried about her , as the experience caused her to stay inside herself.
They were advised to get their young daughter involved in activities that would help bring her out of her shell.
Fast forward to the present day.
Adelaide is now married with two of her own children.
They are all going for a vacation to the beach house Adelaide grew up in , in Santa Cruz.
She is wary of going but doesn't show much concern to her family.
Ever since arriving, strange things happen and on their first night there, they are visited by a family who looks identical to them...
But this visiting family is the complete opposite of Adelaide and her family.
This family is dangerous.

The Prodigy (2019)

The story: Young Miles has always been the apple of his parents Sarah and John's eye.
He is super smart and ever since he was a baby he has been very advanced in all of his learning.
Sarah has noticed though that Miles doesn't really get along well with other kids his age and never wants to be involved in any of the things the other kids do.
This confuses her but she is advised that sometimes progressed children have these types of quirks.
One evening Sarah witnesses Miles speaking clearly in a language she has never heard before and records it.
She later brings the recording to the specialist she's been working with who shows it to someone she knows.
When Sarah is called back in to talk about the recording she dismisses what she heard her son say as jibberish but is told it is not.
Sarah is explained that a deceased person has been reincarnated in her son...and the person who is now controlling him is not a nice one.

The Girl Most Likely to... (1973)

The story: Miriam is a college student who is extremely smart, talented, thoughtful and kind.
But she doesn't have anything going for her in the looks department...
As much as Miriam tries to make friends, no one really wants to be around her.
She begins tutoring a star football player by request of a teacher and that seems to go pretty well until they go to a drive-in movie together and Miriam gets ditched.
After being forced to walk back to her dorm in the pouring rain she isn't allowed in, due to her self-centered roommate, and she ends up with a head cold.
She goes to see a doctor on campus who makes plans with her for a date later that night, only to have her be the subject of a prank.
Miriam is next picked for the lead in a play the school is putting on but her roommate is jealous and ruins everything for her.
That's when Miriam has had just enough.
She jumps in her car and off she goes, wanting to never return.
But she gets into an accident...
The next thing Miriam knows, she is in the hospital, bandaged from head to toe.
When the bandages are removed and Miriam sees herself again she cannot believe her eyes.
Instead of looking hideously deformed she looks amazing beautiful!
This surely puts ideas into Miriam's head about all the people who wronged her because paybacks are a bitch, my dear.

Natalie has just arrived at her best gal pals house for a visit, not really considering what the date is.

Soon Natalie is told that this evening herself, along with a bunch of friends are all going to Hell Fest.
Hell Fest is a traveling horror park that is so amazing as soon as tickets go on sale, it sells out!
But they have tickets and considering the guy that purchased the tickets for everyone has had a thing for Natalie since high school, he got her one too.

Little do the friends know though, there's an angry lunatic inside the park.
He looks like all the people working the event but he isn't in on the show.
This guy has his own agenda for the night.

Exposure (2018)

The story: James is taking his girlfriend Myra to his grandparents' place in the mountains for some alone time, rekindling their strained relationship.
After arriving, Myra looks around the place a bit and ends up in the bedroom.
James meets up with her there and while messing around they accidentally break a picture frame with a photograph of James deceased grandparents.
When Myra asks about them James acts a bit odd, saying he doesn't want to talk about them right now but later.
The next day while Myra is looking for her paint supplies she goes to the car.
While outside she hears strange voices in the wind which freaks her out but overlooks on account of not being used to wide-open spaces.
Later still ,  Myra gets James to talk about his grandparents.
He used to spend every summer he can remember with them in their home in the mountains.
One year his mother got a call about his grandfather being missing.
When he was finally found he was no longer the man anyone knew and claiming strange things, like hearing voices on the wind.
Nothing was the same for James and his grandparents after that...
The next day James takes Myra fishing where he fished as a kid.
He is unexpectedly bitten by something he assumes is driftwood.
But soon James becomes someone Myra no longer knows.

The Good Neighbor (2016)

The story: Teenage buds Ethan and Sean are planning an experiment.
They will plant surveillance inside Ethan's grumpy neighbors' house to mess with him and make him think the house is haunted.
From Ethan's bedroom, they will be able to make things move inside the neighbors' house as well as change the temperature and the lights while watching from almost every angle inside the house.
Ethan believes this will make them famous while Sean, who is a potential M.I.T. recruit sees it purely as a psychological study.
At first, the results of their experiment are funny but after a while, Sean thinks things are getting way too serious and wants out.
But Ethan doesn't want to stop. 
He has his own reasons for the whole thing.

Pin (1988)

The story: Brother and sister Leon and Ursala have a strange childhood.
Their father, a doctor, is really strict with them along with their homemaker mother who is no picnic either.
There is one norm in young Leon and Ursala's life, Pin.
Pin is the medical doll their father uses in his work and the children know of him well.
Their father brings Pin to life and there is one rule, neither child is allowed to talk to Pin unless their father is present.
But Leon needs Pin, as he is his only friend, well except for Ursala but shes a girl.
When Leon and Ursala are teenagers they lose their parents in a car accident but they still have Pin...
Leon brings Pin home to live with them although their father would never approve and neither does Ursala but Leon talks her into it.
Then, their aunt comes to stay to take care of them but she wants to change everything back to the way it was when their parents were alive.
This does not fly with Leon and Pin...
So together they get rid of her.
Then, Ursala gets a job and finally meets a nice guy.
But Leon and Pin aren't thrilled about him getting between the three of them and believe he must be stopped before they lose her.

His blood helps his motor begin to run!
Now, the recipe for the juice involves blood.

Phobia (1980)

The story: Dr. Peter Ross is a very popular psychiatrist due to his new therapy techniques dealing with people who have phobias.
Working closely with his patients, Dr. Ross brings his most progressed patient Barbara out of the hospital and into town to help work out her issues with crowds.
He instructs her that he will drop her off and she is to go shopping and then meet him back at his place, from which he will return her to the hospital.
While on a train though Barbara loses it but makes her way back to the Doctor's house.
After meeting with the landlady, Barbara is brought to the doctors' apartment and asked to make herself at home while the landlady brings her a cup of tea.
When Barbara sees a file cabinet with a drawer labeled with her name she opens it to her death...
Now it looks like there is someone who has it out for the doctor and while investigating the crime, the police look closely at the doctors' current patients, who - one by one, catch their deaths.

Terrifier (2016)

The story: A year ago the Miles County Massacre claimed the lives of many and barely spared the life of one.
The sole survivor claims she seen the killer die but - he is not dead.
It's Halloween night and gal pals Tara and Dawn are just returning to Dawn's car after a night of partying.
When they get there Dawn realizes she is too drunk to drive and after Tara convinces her to let her drive, she also realizes shes had too much to drink.
Then they see a creepy guy dressed as a clown which freaks Tara out.
Before they know it he disappears.
The girls decide to grab something to eat while sobering up but while at a local pizza joint, the creepy clown shows up.
Tara is totally creeped now, especially seeing how the clown won't stop staring at her.
Then the girls witness him get booted from the pizza place.
Back at the car now, they find one of the tires is totally wrecked.
Really stranded Tara calls up her sister for a ride. 
While waiting in front of an unoccupied building in which a man steps out of the front door to smoke Tara decides to ask if there is a bathroom inside she can use.
The man protests but finally agrees to let her inside.
Little does Tara realize though that the abandoned building will be her, along with many others' final resting place.

All Hallow's Eve (2013)

The story: It's Halloween.
Sarah is babysitting her friends' kids Tia and Timmy.
When Timmy dumps out his bag of candy he finds a VHS tape with no label in with his candy.
Everyone is totally confused by this but there is one thing for sure, Timmy wants to watch it!
Sarah gives him one hundred reasons why that's not a good idea but after taking a vote and Tia wanting to watch it too, Sarah makes a deal with them.
She will watch some of the tape first and if it isn't too bad she will allow them to watch.
After watching for a couple minutes, the kids enter the room, now watching as well.
What they see isn't really kid-friendly but Sarah allows them to watch for a little while.
After the tape gets to be a bit much she sends the kids off to bed.
Then Sarah decides to watch some more of the tape and as disturbing as it is and as disturbed as it makes her, she continues to watch.
The only thing that stops Sarah from watching the tape is fear for her own life.

Ticks (1993)

The story: A counselor for troubled teens takes a bunch of kids out into the wilderness for some camping.
Little does anyone of them realize until they get out there that many marijuana croppers rule the area with an iron fist and it isn't exactly a great place to stay.
Regardless the group makes the best of their time there until one of the kids' dogs gets attacked and killed.
This puts the dogs' owner over the edge and he hits the road that night alone without telling the counselor.
No one really questions what caused the dogs death until after taking it to the vet.
It seems there is an even larger problem than the croppers that no one knows about.
The deer ticks that live in the woods have been exposed to a growth chemical, making them even larger and more dangerous than they would be regularly.

The Banana Splits Movie (2019)

The story: It's young Harley's birthday and there isn't anything he likes better than the Banana Splits gang...
No one that knows Harley, well except for his best friend, really like the Banana Splits.
It's a super retro show that no one besides Harley and his best buddy even watches anymore.
But the fans are out there.
This year Harley's mom has made sure to pick up tickets for a live taping of the Banana Splits for the whole family and of course Harley's best bud.
At the last minute they find out Harley's friend is sick and cannot go so his mom invites another classmate who isn't exactly friends with Harley or into the Banana Splits, but she goes along.
The same day they arrive the longtime airing show gets canceled, and the show they are about to see is the last, but no one outside the studio knows that.
But the Banana Splits gang knows, and they aren't happy about it.

American Gothic (1987)

The story: Cynthia is just being released from an institution. 
After a tragic accident, she blames herself for, she is said to be better now.
Husband Jeff is a pilot and has invited some of their friends to take a weekend trip with them via a private plane.
All sounds great and everyone is super excited about getting away until they run into some trouble with the plane and have no choice but to stop on an island no one knows about.
Jeff works at getting the plane up and running again but just cannot fix it so he tells the others they should begin looking around the island for some civilization.
While looking they happen upon a house which they all go inside of.
As soon as they step inside they believe they have time-traveled into a distant time and get a kick out of it all.
Then, the owners of the house arrive.
The owners, an older couple, who like to be called "Ma" and "Pa" are nice enough but a bit eccentric.
They invite them all to stay until they can catch a boat that should be by any day now.
But as time goes on, things get really creepy around the house and then, everyone meets Ma & Pa's youngins' , who happen to be a lot older than they think they are and have an even stranger way about them than Ma and Pa do.

Alice in Wonderland (1985)

The story: Young Alice is bored.
She really really would like to attend the tea party her mother is throwing but she isn't old enough.
When mother sends Alice out to get her sister, she finds her reading a book without pictures, which Alice believes is quite pointless.
Just when Alice least expects it, she sees a rabbit running about.
Alice chases the rabbit , asking for him to stop.
But before she can catch up to him, she falls in a hole.
Now still chasing after the rabbit, Alice loses sight of him.
Although she finds a door...
After opening the door she finds another and yet another until one actually opens onto a room, a room of doors that is.
The doors inside the room are all different sizes and only the smallest one is unlocked.
But Alice cannot fit.
Then a potion appears, which she drinks that changes her from big to small.
Now she can fit but she cannot reach the key to the doors!
Then, a cake appears which Alice eats which changes her to big once again, only much too big to fit through the door.
That's when she begins to cry and without any warning, she is swept through a doorway on her tears and into a very peculiar world.
A world of which Alice just wants to go home from.

Her parents, friends, and boyfriend, on the other hand, suspect Megan is a lesbian.
One day after school Megan returns home to an intervention.
She is told she will be sent to a conversion home where she will learn to be straight.
Without a choice, Megan goes to live at her new home until she learns to convert.
While there Megan learns a lot about herself alright, a lot more than she ever would have had she not gone.

The story: Ian Shrager and Steve Rubell met while attending college.
Ian was an introverted business-minded fellow while Steve was an extroverted social butterfly.
The two were quite ambitious from the get-go.
Ian went on to become a lawyer and Steve opened a chain of steak restaurants.
When Steve decided to expand quickly but began struggling Ian became his lawyer, stepping in to keep the creditors at bay.
That's when the two became business partners.
After owning a nightclub in Queens, the duo wanted to expand on that idea in Manhattan.
They wanted to own and operate a nightclub that was unlike anything else of its kind.
When they opened Studio 54 in seedy West Manhattan, their ambitions paid off and their dreams became an over-the-top reality.

The story: Young Lewis has just lost his parents in a tragic car accident.
His Uncle Jonathan, who he has never met , brings Lewis to live with him.
Soon after arriving Lewis gets a visit from his deceased mom which makes him spooked by his new home.
But when he begins the understanding that Uncle Jonathan is a Warlock and the house he is now living in belonged to a famous magician, things start making more sense.
Lewis becomes fascinated by learning magic and Uncle Jonathan helps teach him.
Good thing too because when Lewis wakes the dead to impress a potential friend he has to help calm the storm he has unintentionally brought on.

The Dirt (2019)

The story: In Seattle 1967 all young Frank Feranna Jr has is various stepdads, his neglectful mother and music.
By 1973, Frank is an angry kid who has taken up guitar.
After a fight with his mom, Frank leaves home in 1978 and finds himself broke and hungry on the streets of Hollywood.
He decides to call up his biological dad but that doesn't go well so  Frank decides to change his name to Nikki Sixx.
At the same time in California, young Tommy Lee couldn't be living a more different life.
Family is where it's at for Tommy. Family and music.
One night after seeing a favorite band play he sees the bands bassist, who happens to be Nikki Sixx at a local restaurant and decides to talk to him.
That's when the two get together and begin to form a band.
While looking for a lead guitarist they find Mick Mars in a newspaper ad and the three hit it off.
Then, to find their frontman.
Tommy takes the guys to a house party where high school friend Vince is singing in a cover band.
Tommy gives Vince their demo , asking him to check it out and join them.
Very soon Vince is in and before they know it they are playing their own original music at all the local clubs under the badass name of Motley Crew.
Next, a young scout for Elektra signs them to a 5 album contract and they've finally made it.
Young and living on the edge every day of their lives, fame and fortune came so fast that before they knew it the shit hit the fan hard.
