The story: Corinne Burns is a pretty serious young woman and tends to take matters into her own hands.
She is interviewed by the local news after making a scene and getting fired at her place of employment.
The day she decides to look for another job to pay the rent - she, her sister and their cousin all go to a local rock show.
At the show, Corrine approaches a roadie asking if maybe there is a place on the bus for her band to tag along.
What starts out just traveling with the two headlining bands, ends in Corrine's band being the headliners.
Until everything falls apart on Corrine's band due to her rough-edged attitude towards one person who helped her out and how the media reports on them.

The Martian's mission...by bringing Santa to their planet they believe everyone will be happy once again.

On the eve of Christmas, he is visited by the spirit of his late work partner trying to warn him that if he doesn't change his ways now, he will walk in chains for all eternity for all the uncaring and hopelessness he has tried to cause.
The spirit also warns him that during the course of the night, Ebenezer will be visited by a few different spirits. For what... he is not told.
After being visited by the spirits, Ebenezer finds himself sorry for all the uncaring and misconceptions he has put into the hearts of people he loves and cares about. He finally makes an effort to make things right once again.

Now Rudolph must find Happy before midnight on New Year's eve before an evil vulture named Eon finds him first to carry out plans to stop time.

"What you are about to see is inspired by true events. According to the FBI, there are an estimated 1.4 million violent crimes in America each year. On the night of February 11, 2005, Kristen McKay and James Hoyt left a friend's wedding reception and returned to the Hoyt family's summer home. The brutal events that took place there are still not entirely known."


This is B Bertino's directing debut.
Well... although this story is said to be inspired by true events, one is led to believe that this story is told with a few different publicly recorded violent crimes in mind because there is no actuality to this particular story in writing anywhere...

The story: James and Kristen arrive at the vacation place they are staying at after a wedding reception.
For some unknown reason, the couple is having problems.
While staying up all night to get some romantic issues cleared away, the couple experience someone knocking at the door seemingly like every hour or so looking for someone that is not there.
Then, they find themselves just being terrorized, by someone or thing disturbing the cabin they are staying in.
After too long the couple find themselves in the middle of their worse nightmares with no found escape.

The Pit (1981)

The story: Jamie is an only child who lives an existence like a normal child his age.
Unfortunately, his parents don't seem to think so, seeing how they travel a lot and leave Jamie with many nannies and babysitters who complain or leave because of him.
When Jamies' parents find a new babysitter for their son, things seem to be looking up.
One day Jamie is playing in the woods and he happens upon a "pit" in the ground.
What Jamie finds inside the pit is quite disturbing but not to Jamie...Jamie believes that because he feeds what is living in the pit, it can be nothing but his friend...So Jamie carries on feeding the things in the pit all kinds of food until he runs out of ideas and decides to use the people that dislike him to satisfy their devilish appetites.

The story: Ross is a guy with some issues and in between his strange affairs, he is looking to score some drugs.
He makes way over to the local dealer's place to find that there is nothing but trouble there.
He meets a girl named Nikki who takes him along with her to meet the maker of the drugs, which happens to be her boyfriend.
After meeting the boyfriend, Ross finds he is now the driver for him, running any kind of errand imaginable at any time.
Eventually, things come to an end for everyone involved as some are arrested and some just give up.

While sharing thoughts they happen to begin discussing morbid dreams that they all seem to have in common.
But by the end of their tale-telling, they find that their dreams weren't actually dreamed at all and they continue to live within their worst nightmares for the rest of their days.

The story: This is a PBS documentation of the life of a preacher Jim Jones and his followers told by people who attended his church, believed in him and loved him but ended up feeling portrayed by him. Jim Jones basically ran a commune for years of people who wanted peace, love, and happiness while he preached to them in God's name and pretended to perform miracles for his followers.
But what his adoring followers really got in their end on a faithful day in November of 1978 was sudden death orchestrated by their preacher, by convincing them dying a mass suicide was their only way to peace...while he denied to them that they were actually committing suicide...he claimed it was revolutionary.

This film is two Edgar Allan Poe stories directed by two different horror directors.
The first story titled "The Facts in the Case of Mr. Valdemar"...A greedy wife and her lover/dying husband's doctor plot to inherit all of her husbands' money when he dies by hypnotizing him into signing a release on his money every couple of weeks.
But when the rich man dies, the couple is shortly out of luck and life.
The second story titled "The Black Cat"...A man living with his girlfriend and working as a crime scene photographer obviously has a thing for death.
His girlfriend finds a black cat and is very happy with it.
That is until she finds out her boyfriend tortured and killed it for photographs to be in a book he is having published of his work.

What they don't realize is their private showing of the museum is actually a ploy just to get them in the museum so the owner can capture them and make them part of his displays and gain personal power.

The story: When a mean dog breeder;'s prized breeding dog has a litter of pups, the man's son takes the mom and babies to an abandoned house to help care for them like they should be cared for.
But the breeder finds the dogs and brings them all back to his house where he keeps the dogs, all but one which he doesn't care if it lives or dies because it doesn't resemble the mother at all.
Years go by and the young boy continues to care for the abandoned pup.
Until one day the boy tries desperately to tell his dad that the mom dog is sick and needs treatment, but his father will not listen.
That's when the all grown up pup makes all kinds of efforts to save its mom and in that process, the once-abandoned pup becomes a star!

Here we have yet another remake, the original film made in 1986.

The story: On April fools day, there is a debutante ball of sorts going on in honor of a newbie.
The girl who throws these fabulous parties happens to be a bigtime prankster.
Thinking that she is just getting back at her friends for various different things, one of her pranks goes horribly wrong and the target of the prank dies.
Now a small group of friends who were slightly involved in the death takes some sort of fall and bad publicity for the death.
A year later to the day of the death, the same small group receives a threat that all they have to do is admit who killed the young debutante at the party the year before and no one will get hurt.
But if they all carry on like they are all innocent, heads will roll.
