They Call Me Bruce (1982)

The story:  Joon is a Korean man living in California that everyone calls Bruce.
He doesn't know anything about karate but he makes a mean spaghetti sauce and sings like Luciano Pavarotti.
He came to California on the advice of his beloved grandfather, who explained that he could make lots of money there and find his long-lost love, who will take care of him in New York City.
Bruce works for an Italian crime boss as his cook and enjoys his life the way it is.
When his boss sends him on a road trip to distribute many pounds of cocaine, Bruce is completely oblivious to the whole thing, which puts him in constant danger.
But some undercover police have his back.

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark (1973)

The story: Quiet Sally talks her businessman husband Alex into moving into an old Victorian house that has been in her family for generations.
Alex would rather move into a nice, carefree high rise but Sally is in love with the charming Victorian.
While working on getting the house the way they want it, Sally comes across a room without a key.
When she does find the key, she realizes the room is dark, damp and the fireplace is bricked up.
Sally wants to open up the fireplace and use it but the repairman, one who has been working on the house for years, is adamant that Sally just leave it be.
But Sally cannot...and when she opens some of it up, she unlocks some creatures who have it in for her.

The Seven-Ups (1973)

The story: Buddy, Barilli, Mingo, and Ansel are all detectives with the NYPD.
They are also the group known by their fellow detectives as the Seven-Ups, a secret undercover unit known for cracking down on felons whose crimes usually come with prison time of seven years.
Buddy is the head of the unit and gets most of his info from an old friend who still lives in the neighborhood where most of the Seven-Ups cases occur.
Buddy begins investigating a loan-sharking ring among the local mob.
Little does he realize, the same guys are being shaken down by men pretending to be undercover cops for the DA.
When one of Buddy's men gets killed, he has to investigate even further to figure out who is to blame.

Drunk Bus (2020)

The story: Michael is a college student at Ohio State.
He decided to go to Ohio State because Amy, the girl he was seeing was also going.
A few years ago though, Amy decided to break up with Michael and go off to New York.
Now Michael is still in Ohio, without any direction whatsoever.
To make ends meet, Michael drives the drunk bus on campus.
When he gets attacked by a drunken student one night while driving the bus, the bus company sends in a security guard for Michael, a super intimidating man named Pineapple.
Pineapple becomes Michaels' bodyguard.
Against Michael's wishes at first, but soon he begins to appreciate Pineapple and learn to see things in a much different light than he has been.
