Right Of Way (1983)

Made for TV , airing on HBO November 21st in the US.
Filmed entirely in California.
The story : Modest elderly couple Teddy and Mini call up their adult daughter Ruda one day , seemingly because they would like to visit with her.
While their Ruda is visiting the next day , she goes on and on at her parents about their lack of keeping their home.
They explain to Ruda that the up keep of their home no longer matters to them , as Mini is sick and according to her doctor dead already!
Mini and Teddy explain to Ruda that their plan is to die together , by taking their own lives.
Ruda cannot accept any of this. She decides to call in someone to hopefully help her parents.
But the people that next invade her parents lives do anything other than help.

The China Lake Murders (1990)

The story : A woman driving home through the desert is reported missing by her husband.
The police cannot understand what would make the woman stop if she wasn't having car troubles.
A man is arrested for public indecency and later found to be a policeman , officer Donnelly.
The chief of police in town befriends Donnelly and allows him to stay at house while he is in town.
Then the police find the woman who's been reported missings' car and her lifeless body is in it.
After that , more people are killed in the desert and because officer Donnelly never does leave town like he is suppose to , the chief suspects the killer is him.

But the boss has a plan for him.

Day of the Animals (1977)

The story : A bunch of people have decided to take a backpacking hike into the wilderness with an instructor.
Meanwhile , the local people of the town keep seeing reports about the harmful effects the depletion of the ozone layer may have on everyone's future , including animals.
The people on the backpacking excursion are not lucky enough to have seen the news report. Either way , the towns' people believe all this talk about ruining the ozone layer is a pile of crap.
But while those people are out in the woods and slowly but repetitively get attacked by wilderness animals , they wish they could figure out what in the world is possessing the animals to attack them.

Rock 'n' Rol Nightmare AKA The Edge of Hell (1987)

Wow , rock n roll nightmare is right! :P
Oh and did you know , that evidentially rock stars hand wash dishes!? Yea me neither.

Filmed entirely in Canada.
The story : Rock band The Tritonz have just released a new , album.
Their manager has rented an old farmhouse with a recording studio for a month for the band to have , rehearsal time and space.
Even though the band only needs a good ten minutes...tsss bunch of slackers.
The band brings along their significant others as well as their manager.
The first night they are there , the manager disappears.
Everyone believes they will see him in the morning , but no one ever does see him again...or make mention of him again for that matter. :P
Weird stuff keeps happening to everyone in the house , but no one knows about that either - not even the person(s) who it happens to.
The band seems to be most concerned about getting their grooves on rather than getting the groove on if you catch my drift.
Oh yea and the house has some sort of curse on it I guess. Something about monsters who must destroy humans , must destroy humans , must destroy humans because they are into horror movies?...I don't know.
Lame. As well as hilarious , especially the end. Man , that's some horrible acting there ark angel. :P

The Cracker Factory (1979)

The story : Cassie Barrett is married , a mother and overall just not a happy person.
It seems Cassie cannot even do the simple task of grocery shop without losing it and running home for seclusion.
Then Cassie is known to attempt to drink her sorrows away until she freaks out or blacks out or both.
The regular solution to all of this is that Cassie's husband usually calls in his mother-in-law , who suggests Cassie be taken to the local rehab center.
After many of these outbursts Cassie believes that the rehab center - which she refers to as 'The Cracker Factory' ;) ,is truly the only place for her.
Although Cassie knows she isn't out of her mind and so does her doctor.
Accepting that quite possibly she is an alcoholic is the beginning to a road of recovery.

The Morrison Murders : Based on a True Story (1996)

The story : Luke Morrison works driving truck for his father's trucking business, Morrison trucking.
He arrives home after being out on the road with his girlfriend to find that his parents and one of his brothers have been murdered.
Luke goes to his brother Walker and sister-in-laws' house to tell them about the deaths. They call in the police.
The police are very familiar with the company and the boys' father.
The police believe the murders were committed by one of the family, at first Walker.
But after Luke receives a pretty big life insurance settlement from his deceased father, and he begins making big luxurious purchases on top of causing many disturbances - the police start to think Luke has more to do with the murders than anyone could have guessed.

The Curse (1987)

The story : The Crane family lives on a big farm where they grow their own food as well as sell it to the public.
They are a somewhat humble group , a widow who has taken her young son and daughter and went and married the very religious Mr. Crane who also has one son of his own.
The widows son and daughter are having a bit of a time adjusting to their new stepfathers strict ways but they are respectful as their mother sees fit.
One strange evening , there is a thunder storm.
During the storm , something like a meteor makes a crash landing right on the Cranes property.
The widows boy is the first to find it and then he sends for the help of the local doctor.
No one can figure out what it really is , but soon almost everyone in the Crane household becomes sick.

Excited about the news , Billy tells aunt Cheryl but her reaction isn't exactly what he expected.
Instead , aunt Cheryl snaps out insisting that she won't know what to do if he leaves her.
After the two argue a bit about it all , aunt Cheryl takes the rest of the evening to think things over.
The next day , aunt Cheryl basically apologizes to Billy seeming like she has accepted the fact that he could be going away on scholarship.
Well , that's the impression young Billy got. But actually , aunt Cheryl is really looking for deviant ways to make sure Billy don't go nowhere!

The town was informed by their chief scientist that drinking water that has been contaminated with nuclear waste is not harmful to their health!
The mayor of Pittsville has been going to great lengths to keep this nuclear waste nonsense under wraps.
But there happens to be some sort of nuclear waste monster , who I think goes by the name of Michael , popping up around town leaving snail trails and killing people.

The story : Casey is a young quiet , timid boy who's been having some bad dreams about the time he went to the circus.
He has two older brothers , Geoffrey - who is protective of him and the oldest , Randy - who likes to bust the others asses all the time.
It's that time of year again when the circus is once again in town.
Randy mentions at breakfast that he wants to take a girlfriend to the circus. The boys mother , who is going away for the weekend , believes it's a good idea that he take Casey and Geoffrey along as well.
Casey is thrilled but mom talks him into it...? Yea.
So the boys go to the circus and everything is cool until they finally see the clown show.
One of the clowns tries to forcibly drag Casey into the ring as the star performer.
Casey freaks out and runs off.
Later on that night , the clowns of the circus are killed by some , crazy killer guys.
The next thing you know , the crazy killer guys are dressed as clowns and have made their way into Casey , Geoffrey and Randy's front yard.
Oh boy.

The story : Billy is a smart kid. He comes from a well to-do family and he believes his life couldn't be much better than it is.
Although he has been experiencing some really horrible nightmares but he sees a shrink for that.
Billy notices out of the blue that his parents are acting strangely towards him and favoring his sister , but he shrugs it off and on his merry way he goes.
His sisters recent ex boyfriend keeps trying to talk to her , but she won't have it and it seems she had actually broken off the relationship to please her parents....huh. (sister status = shallow)
Billy doesn't think much about any of that either until the ex makes an effort to talk to him.
He has a recording of Billys' family , sister included and its not pretty. The ex is insistent that there is just something not right about Billy's family.
Billy gets pretty pissed off about the recording once or twice and then confused about it.
So Billy tries telling his psychiatrist about it but he doesn't believe him and then , Billy tries to get together with the sisters ex and that guy gets killed in an accident.
Now Billy starts believing that maybe there is actually something pretty weird going on that he has no idea about and heyyyy maybe it's got something to do with those nightmares.....

The story : So , Jessica is a lovely woman , married , with two charmingly expressive young ones.
Her husband is a very busy man but Jessica takes pride in running daily errands and spending time with the children.
Jessica lets her hubby know that they are soon to be blessed with yet another member of their little family.
That seems like a very good idea and Jessica and hubby are looking forward to the birth even if they have to put some plans on hold.
Almost immediately after , Jessica becomes quite ill and she gets worse by the day.
The next thing we know , Jessica's eyes have turned from a beautiful grey-blue shade to a putrid yellow-greenish. She is performing scarring-for-life stunts in front of her children like spinning her head all the way around...yea , spinning one eye around while the other looks straight ahead for her best girlfriend and upchucking what looks like creamed spinach and eating it!
Gee , I don't know if that's good for the baby....

The story : In 1982 , there have been a number of women murdered.
The police cannot seem to find the killer , although they have dubbed whoever is at fault for the murders the "Green River Killer" , as most of the victims were found in the river of the same name.
By 1983 , the head policeman in charge of the case has sought out the help of a teacher who is a retired criminal investigator.
The ex cop has much experience with the Ted Bundy case and knows a bit about how to catch a killer.
It does help the situation along even more when Bundy sees some news about the case on tv and contacts the ex cop with an offer of his help.

Fred is the person who has to sign the papers to keep Ted in the institution.
When Fred gets over to the institution he runs into some bad luck and while there his twin escapes the institute in disguise as him....leaving Fred in his place.

As it happens , the same day he gets crap from the boss for being just seconds late , he finds out he has inherited a fabulous hotel from his uncle.
Very excited about it all John quits his job , packs up his family and moves them all out to the hotel in the mountains of Colorado.
When they arrive they get a reality check. The hotel isn't in the best of conditions and it seems it hasn't been in business for quite some time.
Regardless , the plan is to make the hotel the booming business it once was.

The story : Young woman Kathleen Hanna was attending college for photography while spending her off time performing spoken word on stage.
Kathleen had much to say , as she felt whenever she expressed herself as a child growing up she was not taken seriously.
Some friends of Kathleen's believed "spoken word" was not the right place for her and when they decided to get a band together in the early 90s , they wanted Kathleen as their front woman.
Kathleen took the band - Bikini Kill , straight into a turning point over and over again with her feminist ways and equal rights train of thought.
After so many years of being scrutinized by the media , Kathleen had had enough. She decided to produce an album , under the name Julie Ruin just to continue speaking her mind.
This is her story...

Insidious : Chapter 2 (2013)

The story : In 1986 , young Josh Lambert was having some pretty strange super natural experiences.
His mother , not knowing what else to do , called on the help of a specialist for her son.
Some years later , Josh is a grown man married with children.
When Josh's oldest son begins having the same sort of super natural experiences that Josh had as a child , his grandmother calls in the one person who she believes can help him.
When that person is killed trying to help Josh's son , their mission of helping him will now continue.

The story : Ron and Veronica are living the high life. They couldn't be happier with their jobs. Well , maybe a little happier if they would get promoted.
But when Ron gets fired and Veronica gets promoted , the couple have to call it quits.
While Ron is trying to find himself , he is approached by a man who wants to hire him for a 24 hour news channel.
Ron decides to get his friends back into the news business with him once again.
