Good Time (2017)

The story : Criminal Connie decides to take his mentally disabled brother Nick along with him on a bank robbery.
Connie wants better for himself and Nick and the money will help lead them in a better direction.
But when things don't go as planned , the two are on the run.
Soon the cops pick up Nick and toss him in jail.
Now all Connie wants to do is get Nick out of jail and will try anything to make that happen.

Los Reyes (2018)

Filmed entirely in Chile.
Apparently this film was originally supposed to be about the skate park and the skaters who skate there. That is until the filmmakers began thinking that the real story was actually about Football and Chola.
The story : Los Reyes AKA The Kings is the oldest and one of the largest skate parks in Santiago , Chile.
Located inside and part of an integrated park system known as The Park of Kings , it features a cultural center , youths orchestra center , metro station , sports center , flea market and public pool.
The Park of Kings is quite the busy spot.
Always about are Football and Chola ,  two stray dogs who have taken up residency in and around Los Reyes.
The two spend their time barking at passersby , sleeping and playing with many things that they find amusing.
While Football and Chola go about their ways , they are usually surrounded by skaters and park workers , as well as the occasional cyclist without too many acknowledging them at all.

First Reformed (2017)

The story : Middle aged Reverend Ernst Toller pastors at the historic First Reformed church in New York.
Not too many people attend the Sunday service at First Reformed but a few do.
A young women named Mary is a regular attendee.
After service one Sunday , Mary asks Toller to speak to her husband.
She explains that he is depressed and she is concerned about him.
Mary also explains that she is with child and that her husband isn't pleased about it.
Toller agrees and meets with Marys' husband Michael.
Toller finds Michael to be a young man who is overly worried and troubled by mans lack of taking care of the planet.
While doing his best to help Michael and Mary , Toller opens his eyes to many things that Michael fascinated him into thinking about.

The Lonely Guy (1984)

The story : Larry is a writer.
He has relocated to New York to take a temporary job as a greeting card writer.
Almost immediately after arriving Larry moved in with Danielle , a ballet dancer who is wild about him.
But right before Larry's eyes , Danielle has lost interest and kicked him out.
Now Larry must start all over again.
While hanging around the park he meets Warren who is a "lonely guy".
Larry explains what a lonely guy is and believes Larry is one as well.
Only Larry doesn't see himself as a lonely guy. Not really.
Larry has hope.

Doubt (2008)

The story : It is 1964 ,  the Bronx.
Sister Aloysius Beavier is a strict disciplinarian.
 She is the head nun at St Nicholas as well as the elementary school principle there.
Sister Aloysius watches over  everyone there and takes many things so seriously that some see her behaviour as excessive.
Young Donald Miller is the only colored boy who attends the school.
He has taken an interest in becoming a priest and this gets the attention of Priest Father Flynn.
When Donald is called out of Sister James' classroom one day to visit with Father Flynn , Sister James' doesn't see a problem with it at first.
But after seeing Father Flynn go to his locker after the meeting and putting the boys t shirt inside , Sister James becomes suspicious , which is not of her nature.
Sister James goes to Sister Aloysius with her suspicions and it now becomes a constant matter Sister Aloysius must deal with.

Miracle Mile (1988)

The story : Harry meets Julie , who he believes is the girl of his dreams.
The two spend lots of time together on the day of their meeting until Julie has to go to work at a local diner.
They agree to meet up again after Julie gets off of work later on that night.
But Harry over sleeps and goes to the diner looking for her about 3 hours late.
While trying to contact Julie via pay phone , the phone rings.
Believing it is Julie calling him right back , Harry answers the phone.
Instead of it being Julie on the other end of the line , Harry hears the ramblings of a young Chip.
Chip goes on and on , claiming to be inside of a missile silo in North Dakota and that within a couple hours a nuclear war will touch down in Orange County , California.
Harry gets completely shook by listening in on what then happens to Chip and then proceeds to go inside the diner.
He begins questioning everyone inside if they have any idea who Chip is and after actually getting their attention , tells them all what Chip warned would happen.
Only the owner of the diner and a business woman patron find any truth in what Harry tells them.
They all begin preparing to head straight out of town with no time to lose but Harry just cannot leave without Julie.

The Purge (2013)

The story : Unemployment and crime are at an all time low in America.
Yet the Government has felt the need to allow a 12 hour annual purge every March 21st.
During the purge , any crime , no matter how violent , is allowed without any punishment.
James Sandine and his family live a very wealthy life , due to his home security business booming.
The home they live in is situated in a community where everyone of their neighbors have also invested in Mr. Sandine's security system , which comes in very handy during the purges.
Right after lock down , James' young son Charlie happens to be watching the security cameras for outside of their house.
He sees a man in need of help and in an attempt to save the man , Charlie unarms their home to allow the man inside.
But this has now put the whole Sandine family in great danger.

The story : Larry is a guy who doesn't take much of anything seriously.
After losing his crap job for stealing , he ventures off to see his grandmother who he visits often.
He takes her car to get maintenanced and while at the shop decides to apply for a job there.
Larry gets the job , although they are not hiring.
He begins excelling quickly , even though its another crap job.
But he kind of enjoys it , due to taking a liking to his boss.
Larry doesnt expect or see any changes in his future until his grandmother passes and leaves him a pretty large sum of cash.
Then and only then does he decide to try and be a better person, taking life more seriously.

For her most recent project , she is taking her artist husband Alec , along with their children Penny and Harper along.
They will be spending about 6 months in an old Victorian out in the country in the middle of nowhere.
Almost immediately Meg's help cannot make it so she tries recruiting some in town.
But due to the houses dark past , no one actually wants to help do what Meg plans.
Penny begins seeing the ghost of a women whose husband killed her inside the home and Alec begins acting like the deceased women's husband.
Soon things get dangerous for the family and its up to Penny and Harper to save their parents as well as themselves.

Paterno (2018)

The story : On October 29 , 2011 popular longtime college football coach for Penn State , Joe Paterno gained his 409th victory at the age of 88.
Within the next month , allegations of child sexual abuse at the hands of former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky , who worked along side Paterno for some time broke.
As the scandal gets bigger , more of the truth comes to the surface.
While Joe concentrates on his next upcoming game he is circled by rumors , allegations and scandal on a daily basis.
When Joe speaks of what he knew and reported , some 5 years prior , doing what he believed was right , it isn't enough.
He is advised by his lawyer that the only thing he can do now is retire.
Joe puts in for his resignation and agrees to a last 3 game deal.
But his involvement , or lack there of , finally cost him his slightly early retirement earlier than planned , much to the great disappointment of many loved ones and fans.

The story : Amanda and Lily used to be good friends when they were younger but have since grown apart.
They had not seen each other for sometime and at this point Amanda is in need of Lily's academic help.
Lily finds Amanda strange and uncomforting and Amanda senses this.
Amanda tries getting inside Lily's head as she believes there is something nagging at her.
Then she witnesses Lily and her stepdad's complicated relationship.
When Amanda asks Lily if she has ever thought of off-ing her stepdad she gets nervous and sends Amanda on her way.
But Lily cannot stop thinking about it...
Lily decides to go through with it and seeing how Amanda has some experience in the matter , decides to recruit her help.

Home life is once again strange for Colleen but she tries her best at adjusting while visiting.
She feels that what really needs to happen is to get her now recluse brother out and about and happy once again.
So Colleen gets into some of her old ways to bring her brother out of his shell and help bring the family back together.
