Solid Gold : A Solid Gold Christmas (1982 - 1983)

Made for TV, airing on CBS December 10th in the US.
Season 3. Episode 14 meshed with  Season 4. Episode 14.
Although I'll have to tell you, if you don't remember this particular show, there is some confusion these days. It seems that the 1982 and 1983 Solid Gold Christmas shows are pretty much identical, give or take.
It seems that Rex Smith is in the 83 version but not in the 82 version, Marilyn rolls on her own. Bare with me. Here, I'll just break the whole show down for you. So there won't be too much more confusion. You're welcome.
Opening the show, Sister Sledge performs the number 40 Christmas song, "Jingle Bell Rock".
In the middle of the song, Marilyn MacCoo makes an appearance and finishes the song with Sister Sledge.
Marie Osmond performs the number 39 song, "Let It, Snow! Let It, Snow! Let It, Snow!"
The Solid Gold dancers come out to dance to songs number 38, "Hark The Herald Angels Sing" by Frank Sinatra, number 37 song "Feliz Navidad" by Jose Feliciano, and number 36 song, "The Night Before Christmas" by Steve Lawrence.
A Madam and Santa skit.
Peter, Paul, and Mary perform the number 35 song "A Soalin'".
Cher makes an appearance to say "Merry Christmas".
Number 34 song "O Come All Ye Faithful" is performed by Donna Summer and Marilyn MacCoo.
Another skit from Santa.
The number 33 song "Chipmunk Jingle Bells" is performed by The Chipmunks while the Solid Gold dancers do some dancing in the background.
The Solid Gold dancers have the floor now, as they dance to the number 32 song "Merry Christmas Baby" by Elvis Presley.
The number 31 song "Silver Bells", is performed by Crystal Gayle.
John Davidson performs the number 30 song, "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.
John Davidson joins Madam for a skit.
The Solid Gold dancers appear in all their Christmas finery to dance to the number 29 song "It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" by Andy Williams.
Marilyn MacCoo announces tv personality John Schneider, who performs the number 28 song, "Silent Night, Holy Night".
John Schneider ends his performance by saying Merry Christmas.
Sheena Easton makes an appearance to wish you all a Solid Gold Christmas.
Andrae Crouch performs the number 27 song "Joy To The World".
Skit by comedian Jeff Altman.
Number 26 song "Kids" by Kenny Rogers.
Solid Gold dancers join the festivities to dance to songs number 25 "The Wassail Song" by Tennessee Ernie Ford, song number 24 "Here Comes Santa Claus" by Willie Nelson, and the number 23 song "Deck The Halls" by The New York Philharmonic and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
Marilyn MacCoo orrrrr Rex Smith...whichever version you see....O_O appears and makes mention of the number 22 song "God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman" , which is made up of lyrics from A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.
Marilyn orrrrr Rex (O_O) proceeds to introduce the number 21 song, "Do You Hear What I Hear", then introduces America.
America performs "God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman", which turns into "Do You Hear What I Hear".
Marilyn is back to introduce the number 20 song, performed by The Oakridge Boys, "Thank God For Kids".
Madam does a skit.
Okay, the dancers are back to dance to songs number 19 "Merry Christmas Darling" by The Carpenters, number 18 "Christmas For Cowboys" by John Denver, number 17 "Sleigh Ride" by Johnny Mathis, and song number 16 "The Little Drummer Boy" by Lou Ross.
Marilyn MacCoo introduces once again Donna Summer, who performs the number 15 song "O Holy Night"....hahahaha or if Rex Smith introduces it, its song number 17....ughhh , my head is spinning hahaha
So I guess, hahahaha song number 14 is then gonna be "Ill Be Home For Christmas" by Frank Sinatra and the number 13 song is "..." I don't know anymore hahaha. Even funnier that in one of the two shows number 14 here is number 9!
So song 13 has somehow gotten past me, like a lost Christmas memory, without any traces it exists other than the number 13 does come after the number 14! O_O Help would be greatly appreciated right here, folks.
A Barry Manilow performance possibly????
I know there's a "Sleigh Ride" in there somewhere!
I do know Jerry Reed performs the number 12 song! It's "Please Come Home For Christmas".
Skit by comedian Jeff Altman.
Marilyn MacCoo introduces the number 11 song "Go Tell It On The Mountain" performed by Peter, Paul, and Mary with Andrae Crouch.
Marilyn MacCoo and John Davidson chit chat about their favorite Christmas past.
Song number 10 is "Winter Wonderland" by John Davidson....who proceeds to tell us that he grew up in Massachusetts. Where it is a Winter Wonderland.
Marilyn MacCoo tells us, Solid Gold asked people on the street this holiday question...."What was the most memorable Christmas gift you've ever received?"
Sister Sledge performs song number 9, "Rockin Around The Christmas Tree".
Lionel Richie makes an appearance to wish you a "Solid Gold Christmas...yea...yeaaa"
Marilyn MacCoo introduces the number 8 song "Blue Christmas" performed by John Schneider....? Or its song number 7 hahahaha. It's up to you now.
Skit by comedian Jeff Altman as Dracula.
Jeff introduces the number 6 song "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" accompanied by cartoon images.
The Solid Gold dancers dance through snippets of song number 5 "The 12 Days Of Christmas" by The Ray Coniff Singers and the number 4 song "Frosty The Snowman" by the Beach Boys.
Okay...the number 3 song is...."The Christmas Song", performed by Roberta Flack.
Eddie Rabbit makes an appearance to wish you all "A Solid Gold Christmas".
Marilyn MacCoo introduces Marie Osmond, who performs the number 2 song "A Christmas Waltz".
Skit with Marie Osmond and Madam.
Marilyn MacCoo and John Davidson perform the number one song "White Christmas".
Phweeew!
Stars Marilyn MacCoo , Sister Sledge , Marie Osmond , The Solid Gold Dancers , Madam , Wayland Flower , Santa Claus , Cher , Donna Summer , Peter Paul and Mary , The Chipmunks , John Davidson , John Schneider , Sheena Easton , Andrae Crouch , America , The Oakridge Boys , Rex Smith , Lional Richie , Roberta Flack , Jerry Reed , Jeff Altman , Eddie Rabbit , (voice) Robert W Morgan
