The story : Surly is a loner squirrel.
He looks out just for himself and no one else.
When there is a food shortage in the nearby park , the animals concoct a plan to rob a local nut stand.
Surly happens to have that very same idea.
A couple of squirrels from the park begin their mission and are shunned by Surly.
He will not be persuaded to share the nuts no matter what.
When the plan falls flat and the nuts are lost , Surly is to blame.
He is now banished from the park , never to return.
Surly has to make due living in the city , where there is an even larger shortage on food.
Just when he thinks his luck has gotten worse , Surly believes he has found the nut jackpot.
