The Gumby Show : A Pigeon in a Plum Tree (1956)

Part 3 of 3. Season 1. Episode 20.
The story: Gumby reads a story about a poor king named Ought, who had a son, Prince Harold that was unhappy about Christmas.
Gumby goes on to read that Prince Harold had a sweetheart which he wanted to give a very special gift to this Christmas because it was to be part of his wedding proposal to her.
But he was too poor to buy anything nice.
King Ought wanted to help Prince Harold achieve his wish and explained that he did not need an expensive gift to show his love.
The king tells Harold that the best thing to give his love is a partridge in a pear tree.
But the local store ran out...
