About a Boy (2002)

Released May 17th in the US.
Filmed entirely in England.
The story: Will is a self-centered guy who has never been married, never worked a day in his life, has no kids and has no idea what his life means.
A couple of his friends decide to set him up with a friend of theirs but they don't mention one thing about her.
She has a child.
This isn't really the kind of woman Will would have picked for himself but somehow it works... well, for a little while.
He does like the idea of dating single women with children though.
So he joins a single parents group to meet some.
After going to the park one day with one of the single moms he met, her daughter and her friends' son  Marcus, they all return to Marcus' home to find his mom has attempted to commit suicide.
Now Marcus' mom recovers but he's scared.
He is worried that she will try it again and he cannot live with that.
Marcus begins visiting with Will just to escape a bit from his nerve-racking home situation and terrible school life.
