The story: It's the afternoon before Christmas.
Kelso shows up in Eric's basement with a box full of toys.
He explains that someone had just left them in front of the Police station, probably to keep people from going mad.
Eric explains that the toys belong to the toy drive for needy kids.
They know they should return the toys but they decide to open them and play with them instead...just for a little while.
