Secrets of Playboy : The Bunnies & The Clean Up (2022)

Made for A&E, airing January 31st in the US.
Season 1. Episode 3.
The story: The Playboy Bunnies had a certain style. The image was the girl next door.
The greatest of sex symbols in the country. There was an innocence about the women who worked as Bunnies,  believing nothing would go wrong.
The woman felt protected, by the very strict rules of being a Playboy Bunny, but those rules only were to an extent...
Being a Playboy Bunny brought opportunity, money, and self-confidence.
The role changed many woman's lives forever, good and bad.
All the Playboy Clubs were very sophisticated. It was 25 dollars for a membership key.
There were 22 Playboy Clubs before 1970. By 1972, there were 1 million key holders and the VIP keyholders got to do everything for free.
Many rules came with being a Playboy Bunny and the perception of what it was to be a bunny and what it actually was to be a bunny were two very different things.
It was quite grueling if you didn't get things right and completely demanding personally.
There were Playboy Clubs all over the US, up until the late 80s.
There were also Playboy Resorts up until 1988.
Many women who started in various other clubs ended up working at the Playboy Resort - Great Gorge in New Jersey, which saw great scandal, although not all the women working there knew anything about the trouble.
But there were signs.
The result was one of a cover-up to protect the company and no one was to talk about it.
There was also no further training to protect the current standing Playboy Bunnies.
But the problems didn't just stay within that one resort, there were a number of problems with bunnies within different clubs.
But the problems were taken care of by ridding the clubs of those employees as well as threats.
