The story: DC is an elderly man, spending the day with his granddaughter Rudie while her mother Boogie attends a wedding.
While watching TV, Rudie sees a commercial for an amusement park which she mentions looks fun.
That's when DC brings up the wild and crazy amusement park that he once owned.
It was called Action Point and one summer, when Boogie came to visit, things got really crazy.
Action Point was known by the locals to be the place where everyone did everything they wanted.
There were barely any rules that people were to abide by, but they all took personal responsibility for their own actions, whether they got hurt or not.
The rides were dangerous and everyone who worked there was learning as they went, but that was literally the fun of it all and everyone, including DC, loved it.
When a nearby more safe and expensive fun park opened up, contending with Action Point, everyone who loved the park, including Boogie, got involved in the fight to keep it open.
