The story : Bridget Jones is a single , 42-year-old , who believes shes overweight and would really fancy a special man in her life.
Bridget attends a family friends Christmas party where she meets a man with potential , Mark....or so she thinks.
She overhears Mark insult her and she instantly puts a label of hate on him.
Back at work , Bridget's boss begins flirting with her which she begins to enjoy more and more.
The two get together and begin what Bridget believes is a relationship.
Later on , Bridget runs into Mark and finds out her boss was friends with him.
He tells her that he was the best man at Mark's wedding and that Mark ran off with his fiancee.
This puts a bad flavor on Mark for sure with Bridget , even if he tells her he fancies her.
