The story : Kate Lloyd is a grad student who works in pathology.
A friend of hers who has been working with a scientist asks her to go along with him and the doctor on a very exciting mission in Anarctica.
Kate accepts the job , without even knowing what to expect.
What she finds out is that the doctor has stumbled upon an alien ship of some sort.
Along with an alien frozen in many layers of ice.
With Kates help , the doctor gets the alien-like creature back to the base to study.
But before anyone can really study the creature , it begins its terror on them all.
