It will be an even bigger event this year, as a business acquaintance of Jed's wants his step son Sonny to date Elly Mae.

When the two meet, it doesn't go all that well as Elly Mae has no idea how to deal with a man who wants to court her.
So Elly Mae and Sonny's families step in and invite Sonny's parents to Thanksgiving dinner so they can all get to know each other.
