The story : Janis Halston believes she is a happily married woman with two darling children.
But as her husbands' work-life becomes increasingly stressful and unrewarding, he begins taking it out on Janis.
At first, Janis forgives her husband for being violent with her, as he apologizes and swears up and down that it will never happen again.
But the second outburst her husband has on her leaves visible marks for everyone to see.
People are concerned about Janis' well-being, but Janis is determined to cover-up the embarrassing abuse she has been enduring while making excuses for his brutal actions towards her.
