The story: Blind Franco lives with his young niece and works as a crossword puzzle maker.
One night while out walking with his niece, Franco overhears someone's conversation in a car they walk past.
He asks his niece to look and see who the people are in the car but she can only see one of them.
The next day, Franco and his niece realize that the man they walked past last night is dead.
They visit with a newspaper reporter who has been reporting on the story of another death in the area and they realize together that the deaths are connected.
Soon Franco is working closely with the reporter to find and stop the killer.
