Inferno (1980)

Released April 2nd in the US.
Filmed in Italy and New York.
The story: Rose is a young poet living in a very old, strange building in New York.
After purchasing an even stranger old book from the antique shop next door she writes her brother Mark, who is away at school in Italy a letter, and sends it off.
Rose then goes back to the antique shop where she got the book, questioning if the book is full of truth or is made up but gets no answers.
Off she goes on her way back home when she sees a way into the basement of the building she lives in.
Of course Rose goes into the basement, never to be seen again.
After Mark gets Rose's letter, he begins looking for her.
But while looking, everyone Mark encounters somehow comes to meet their doom.
