The story: Nora is a single mother, working at the local diner in a dead-end desert town and living with her two teenage daughters, Trudi and Shade.
Nora does the best she can while Trudi rebels as much as possible out of boredom.
Shade is the more reserved type, who likes everyone and just wants to live a normal life.
When Trudi goes away, Shade meets her father by chance.
Now it's just Shade and Nora and after Shade confronts Nora about meeting her dad , Nora decides its time to finally start a new relationship while Shade also finds love and friendship in her soulmate.
