The Haunted Palace ; Edgar Allen Poe's (1963)

Released August 28th in the US.
Filmed in Virginia.
The story: One hundred and ten years ago, a man named Joesph Curwen damned the sleepy New England town of Arkham.
It was said that Joesph was a devil in disguise.
He had taken another man's finacee as his mistress, along with many other women who no one was to ever see again.
When the yocals of Arkham decided that they had enough of his black magic, they burned him on his own front lawn...
But before they did, Joesph cursed them all and their children too.
Present-day.
Charles Dexter Ward and his bride Ann arrive in Arkham.
They go into the quaintly named 'Burning Man Tavern' for directions.
When the barkeep sees Charles, who eerily resembles Joesph, he decides he will not help him.
Charles and Ann have apparently inherited Joesph Curwens house, who happens to be Charles's great, great grandfather.
Charles and Ann have no idea of Joesphs past with the town but they find out the hard way.
