Filmed entirely in Canada.
The story : Max Renn is the president of a TV channel that produces programs containing soft porn , violence and murder.
Max is always on the look out for new tough and ground breaking ideas.
He goes on a TV talk show to talk about his channel and meets a radio talk show host named Nicki and a man who has a history in the same sort of industry as himself.
Later on , Max meets up with Nicki at his house.
While looking through his video collection , Nicki stumbles upon a video called 'Videodrome'.
Max explains that she probably wont like it and that it's pretty violent.
But she puts the video on anyways.
This brings the two of them into a dangerous hallucinatory world beyond either of their imaginations.
