The story : Arkady Renko is a crime investigator for the Moscow police.
One evening he and other policemen are awakened and called out into the cold night of Gorky Park.
There they find three bodies which had been recently discovered by a night guard.
A gruesome murder has taken place.
Arkady will not stop looking for clues and he isn't exactly getting much help other than from the coroner.
Everyone else he speaks to about it seems to be hiding the reason why the murders took place and by who. But , why???
