The story : American Walter takes his wife , Cathryn and their ten-year-old mute daughter Melissa to Amsterdam.
Walter has work there so he figures he can spend the time he isn't working with his family in a beautiful city.
Cathryn has constant doubts about vacationing in Amsterdam , especially with their daughter but she wanted to go so...
A co-worker of Walters meets the family at the airport and takes them to their hotel.
While trying to check in , Melissa really needs to use the restroom. Walters co-worker offers to take her there.
Melissa goes along with him and he tells her he will wait but when she comes out , he is nowhere to be found.
Melissa somehow finds herself outside the hotel , then she witnesses a murder.
Now the murderers are looking to take care of her too.
