The story : Wise-beyond-her-years Harriet has many questions and many more ideas about life away from home.
Harriet is able to appreciate the simple things in her life only she doesn't have anyone her age to share them with.
One day while sitting by the road passing time , Harriet meets older lady Leah and her mentally challenged son Ricky.
Due to car trouble , the mother and son end up staying at the hotel Harriet lives at.
Shortly after , Harriet begins a close friendship with Ricky even though he is much older than she.
