The story : About a year ago , Mildred's daughter Angela was murdered.
Since then , there has been no news on finding anyone responsible.
Mildred can not give up the idea that the police need to be doing more to solve the crime.
One day , on her way to work , Mildred gets an idea.
She decides she will use the three billboards on the outskirts of town which haven't been used since the 80s to get the polices attention.
What Mildred doesn't see coming is all the trouble her billboards cost everyone.
