The story : Samuel Mullins is a doll maker.
He lives a charmed life with his loving wife Esther and their beloved daughter Bee.
But all is a skew when a tragedy unexpectedly takes the life of young Bee.
Fast forward twelve years.
Mr. and Mrs. Mullins have decided to welcome a group of young girls who live in an orphanage along with Sister Charlotte , to live in their very large home along with them.
Right away , scary things begin happening , especially to young , handicapped Janice.
