The story : J.J. is a fresh , enthusiastic state police officer who has just been transferred to a sheriff's department.
From the get-go , J.J. gets the feeling he isnt being accepted by the other officers because of his race , but he really wants to fit it.
J.J. soon finds himself backing a fellow officer on a "routine" stop , but things are a bit off with the situation.
Then a man claiming that two African American men car jacked him and in the process shot his wife.
Deborah is another officer who gets treated in a similar manner by her fellow officers as J.J. when she is the second to arrive on the scene and treated without respect when she tries to explain how she sees the crime.
When it looks to J.J. and Deborah that the African American man who J.J. helped arrest is being framed for the murder that Deborah investigated , they get more and more suspicious of their fellow officers.
