The story : In 1972 , policeman Dennis Meechum was present at the armed robbery of an police evidence dispensary.
He came out of that as the only policeman that survived.
Since the incident , Dennis wrote a best-selling novel about the crime.
Fast forward , it is now 1987.
Dennis is still working as a policeman but he is growing bored.
He is also struggling with writing another novel.
Now a mysterious man named Cleve enters Dennis' life.
He has entered the picture because he believes he has the perfect story for Dennis' next best-seller.
