The story: Judd is a weird kind of guy.
Well...he owns and runs a local hotel.
But he also has a pet crocodile he keeps in a swamp right out in front of the hotel and of course anyone in town that knows creepy old Judd thinks - yea, having a pet crocodile is different, but nothing to be alarmed about.
... ...,...
I don't know about you, but the pet crocodile thing would keep me moving on for another hotel!
Maybe the people who stay at Judd's hotel should have done that very same thing.
