The story : WWII is happening. Peter , Susan , Edmund and Lucy Pevensie are sent away to safety by their mother to stay with a professor in his very large home.
The children are frightened , lonesome and bored at the house but try to stay cheerful.
While playing a game of hide-and-seek , the youngest child Lucy happens upon an empty room with only a large wooden wardrobe inside.
Lucy steps inside the wardrobe to hide , but the further in she goes she finds that she has actually stepped into another world in the back of the wardrobe called Narnia.
While in Narnia , Lucy meets and befriends a fawn , Mr. Tumnus.
He invites her back to his home.
Mr. Tumnus now fights his conscious as he knows the rule of Narnia is to hand over any and all humans that appear in Narnia to the White Witch.
He tells Lucy of this rule and in hopes that no one has seen him , helps Lucy back to the wardrobe.
Lucy tells her brothers and sister of Narnia but they do not believe.
The next night , Edmund follows Lucy into the wardrobe and gets into Narnia without Lucy knowing.
No sooner does he arrive , he meets the White Witch , who tells him she is a Queen and promises him many things if he returns to her with his siblings.
But Edmund is tricked.
