The story : Early in December of 1980 , regular type guy who has been drifting and struggling with his identity Mark Chapman returns to New York City.
He had visited the city 6 months prior , but this time he has a real reason to come back.
Mark is obsessed with the book 'Catcher in the Rye'.
He is relating personally with the storys main character , Holden Caulfield.
Mark is also struggling with the cards his life has dealt him.
One very large problem Mark has with society is its lack of sincerity as well as believing that the rich and famous are all phony.
Mark has decided he will kill legendary rock n roller John Lennon to give his life meaning while acquiring attention.
