Sunset Boulevard (1950)

Released August 10th in the US.
Filmed in California.
The story : Joe is a struggling movie writer who hasnt worked in a studio for a long time.
This isnt keeping him from writing stories though.
He has a car that he owes money on and when two men show up looking for the car , Joe lies to them about having it.
They threaten to come back tomorrow.
Tomorrow comes and Joe goes out to Paramount looking to sell his most recent story.
When his story doesnt sell , he is on his way.
But while out driving that hot car , the two men looking to repo it begin chasing him.
Joe gets a flat while being chased and dashes into the closest driveway to get away.
The driveway he now finds himself in belongs to an old , run-down looking mansion.
Little does Joe realize , he has just turned into the driveway of an retired , lonely silent-film star , who could definately use his company.
