Kevorkian (2010)

Made for HBO, released June 28th in the US.
Filming location(s)unknown.
The story: Jack Kevorkian, the only son of Armenian immigrant parents.
He grew to be a very caring, very innovative young man who studied to become a pathologist.
While studying, he did many fascinating experiments, wrote articles that were published about his work, full books and wrote and recorded music, which no one paid much attention to at all.
When his beloved mother became ill and was in great pain. No one could or would help her. It broke his heart to see her suffer through her illness to her death.
Soon, after seeing others suffer in the same manner as his mom, he decided he would invent the machine, that would - ultimately cause its patients to calmly and restfully take their last breathe in their homes, with their loved ones by their sides. All of this is done with its patients' well knowledge of what they were doing, as the doctor was receiving hundreds of letters a day asking for his help.
Many found this inhumane but others believed it to be their human right. That is, to have the right to die, after all, efforts to regain a normal life have failed.
Kevorkian went on to do time for allowing the world to see his work, broadcast on the television show '60 Minutes'. After serving 10 years, he was released due to his failing health.
A year or two before his death, he ran for congress in the state of Oregon, in hopes of convincing as many people as he possibly could that their rights were being stolen from them, rallying much on the subject of the 9th Amendment. At the same time, he painted many works of art and it was shown in a gallery. The art is his views on love, death, war, brutality, insanity, commercialization and genocide.
