This film was said to have been intended as a Disney production - although Disney dropped the project and backed out on it after screening.
Released March 9th in the US.
Filmed in California, Bahamas, and New York City.
The story: A young boy named Allen takes a summer boat ride in Cape Cod with his family.
When Allen thinks he sees something in the ocean waves, he jumps in.
While underwater, he sees a mermaid around the same age as him.
She rescues him but Allen never forgets the incident.
Present-day, Allen is grown and having many problems in his professional and personal life.
One night, he is at an end and tries to drown himself - only the next morning, he awakens on the shore - unharmed, once again - thanks to the mermaid.
This time she makes a very large effort to get to know him.
