AFTER I WATCH A MOVIE OR SOMETHING ON TV , I RUN TO MY COMPUTER AND WRITE DOWN THE STORY.... I DO NOT CRITIQUE THE CINEMA , ONLY TELL YOU ABOUT IT BECAUSE , TO EACH ITS OWN. I GUESS , IN ALL HONESTY , THE REASON I WATCH ANYTHING IS BECAUSE SOMEHOW , SOMETHING ABOUT IT HAS KEPT MY INTEREST IN SOME WAY OR ANOTHER , LONG ENOUGH TO MENTION IT...AND REMEMBER....

American Experience : The Blackout (2015)
Made for PBS , airing sometime in 2015.
Season 27. Episode 7.
The story : On July 13 , 1977 the weather was hot , muggy and uncomfortable for the residents of New York City.
At 8:30pm , a vicious lightening storm had rolled in and that's when it happened.
Two circuit breakers were tripped in Buchanan , New York due to a lightening strike at Buchanan South.
The Buchanan South Station attempted converting over 300,000 volts of electricity to lower voltage for commercial use but the attempt was faltered.
This caused all but southern Queens , some neighborhoods in the Rockaways and the Pratt Institute to lose all power.
What eventually resulted during the course of the night was complete and total chaos.
