The story : Two college buds are driving back to school in New York through Alabama.
They stop at a small food mart to pick up some snacks and back on the road they go.
A way down the road one of them realizes that he accicdentially put a can of tuna in his pocket while in the store and forgot about it.
They begin joking about what could happen to them because of it.
The next thing they know , they are being pulled over , told to get out of their vehicle , brought to jail and booked for murder.
But all they did was steal a can of tuna fish....
To their rescue , cousin Vinny who is a lawyer from New York arrives only he hasn't had much experience in this sort of thing.
