The story : The day after a city fundraising event for a popular priest and church in town , the said priest is murdered...in his mansion...in the middle of the day...
The murder is a brutal one and there are a couple of clues.
But nothing speaks more than an older alter boy who flees from the cops and the scene of the crime , covered in blood.
Cutthroat attorney Martin Vail catches the breaking news while meeting with a client , cuts the meet short and quickly becomes the pro bono defender of the alter boy.
Martin is the only person in town who is a believer of the boys innocence.
