The story: A young woman named Justice who makes her living as a hairdresser and writes exceptional poetry about her life and experiences is unsure about what the future of her life can bring.
Her first love, a high school sweetheart, was taken from her in a most traumatic way and now she can't find it within herself to get close to another man, although she would like to.
A fellow co-worker of Justice tells her about a road trip she takes once a month with her boyfriend and his coworker.
The friend tells her that maybe she should go along and meet her boyfriends' friend, but of course, she declines.
On Justices way out the door to go to a hair show the company she works for is expected to be in Oakland, she realizes her car will not start.
Justice decides to call up her fellow co-worker, who tells her she can catch a ride with her, her boyfriend and his co-worker to Oakland.
When Justice sees who the co-worker/friend is - and believes the two have nothing in common - right off the bat she causes an argument between the two. But Justices' friend makes sure that she is in the right state of mind to get over the disagreement and just move on.
Now Justice lets her mind open up to the new - and unexpected and she finally experiences what she never thought was ever possible again.
