The story : In a small town in Pennsylvania , five very close friends end their busy work day by getting ready for one of the fives’ wedding.
Not only is this a celebration of a new married couple , it is also a going away , good luck party for three of five friends , including the groom as they will shortly be off , fighting their parts in the war in Vietnam.
After some time being in the service , the three friends meet up again during their line of duty . They are soon captured and held as hostages.
They do not think they will escape , but when they do - they are not the same.
Help comes for the three friends , but only one of the three actually gets rescued.
Soon , they are all once again separated.
Without any recollection of where each other are , they go on with their lives.
