The story: Ben and Marion Rolf along with their pre-teen son David are planning a summer in the country together.
They visit a place which seems too good to be true and after meeting with its very eccentric owners, Ben and Marion decide to rent-out the unbelievably large property for a mere $900. - for the whole summer.
The small family will be bringing along with them for the summer Bens elderly aunt as well as having to take care of the owners of the property's elderly mother, who is said to stay in the house, inside of her room, which she never leaves.
At first, everything seems to be going well and everyone is very excited about having this beautiful house and its surroundings all to themselves for the whole summer.
But soon, after settling in comfortably, something strange begins to take its effect on Ben and Marion and they no longer seem like themselves to their son or aunt.
There is something wicked about this rental property and its history which seems to be trying to control and possibly destroy this small family relationship.
