AFTER I WATCH A MOVIE OR SOMETHING ON TV , I RUN TO MY COMPUTER AND WRITE DOWN THE STORY.... I DO NOT CRITIQUE THE CINEMA , ONLY TELL YOU ABOUT IT BECAUSE , TO EACH ITS OWN. I GUESS , IN ALL HONESTY , THE REASON I WATCH ANYTHING IS BECAUSE SOMEHOW , SOMETHING ABOUT IT HAS KEPT MY INTEREST IN SOME WAY OR ANOTHER , LONG ENOUGH TO MENTION IT...AND REMEMBER....

The Last Resort (2018)
Released December 21st in the US.
Filmed in Florida and New York.
The story : In the mid-1970s , Miami Beach , Florida was the place to be....if you were an 80-year-old retiree of Jewish decent that is!
Many Jewish retirees flocked to the warm , sandy beaches of the spectacular art deco town as if they were born to be there.
They relished in being part of a community with all of their similarities and natures.
On any given day , many of them could be seen sitting in their lawn chairs on hotel grounds playing cards while kibitzing , passing their time by sitting on their front porches , crowding the local market and each others space or dancing up a dance hall storm.
At the same time , two young budding photographers with very different styles but the same love for art were recording this precious time in history for the world to see.
Stars Gary Monroe , Ellen Sweet Moss , Susan Gladstone , Edna Buchanan , Stan Hughes , Mitchell Kaplan , Kelly Reichardt
Directed by Dennis Scholl and Kareem Tabsch
