The story : It's 2013.
Jeff Bauman is a young guy who loves the Red Sox , Bruins and also his on again off again girlfriend Erin.
While out one night , Jeff sees Erin trying to raise herself some cash to run in the upcoming Boston Marathon.
Jeff decides he will show Erin his support by surprising her and being at the finish line when she gets there.
But before Erin can get to the finish line , two bombs explode up ahead of her view.
Little does Erin realize at the time but Jeff has been badly injured while being right next to one of the detonated bombs.
