The story : Tess Thorne is a murder mystery writer.
She is summoned to a meeting with some of her fans.
The women who invited her to the meeting gives her a "shortcut" route home but while on her way , Tess runs into some unexpected car troubles.
No phone service , Tess believes she is lucky when a large guy driving an equally large truck stops to help....but Tess's luck gets worse instead of better.
