The story : The driver of a '55 Chevy is constantly looking for races to race his car in for money.
Along for the ride is his trustworthy mechanic.
Driving across country looking for races to be won , the two pick up a hitchhiker.
Then , they come across an older man who believes his car will beat theirs in a race.
Instead of racing side by side though , they all decide whoever can make it to Washington DC first will win the prize of both their cars.
