Filmed in Canada and Alaska.
The story : Will and Hap are cops who work as partners in Los Angeles.
They are sent to Alaska to work on a case involving the murder of a teenage girl.
The police in Alaska have very little leads , and this kind of case if right up Will's alley.
When they get word that the man they are looking for is in an area where they can catch him , they jump at the chance.
During the search , some confusion ensues.
Will's partner is shot dead by accident.
The killer who they are all there to catch is the only witness to the killing of the cop.
So he thinks a little bit of blackmail is the only logical solution.
