The story: Ted Kramer is a working stiff who thinks everything's' going in his direction.
Joanna Kramer is Ted's very unhappy wife, only he doesn't know she's unhappy.
That is until one evening when Ted arrives home from work and his wife is packed and ready to get out.
Now not only does Ted have to juggle with his very busy work schedule, but he is also now the sole parent to the couples' confused seven-year-old son.
