The story: A police officer named Edward is called upon by a former flame to help find her missing daughter.
Edward feels an extreme need to help and travels to the secluded island of Summers Isle, where the people dwelling there do not strike Edward as concerned at all about the missing child who lives within their close-knit community.
The attitude of the island people towards helping Edward find the child makes him feel he’s just about losing his mind.
That is until he realizes what the islanders' intentions are for him.
