The story: It is the last full day of daylight before a whole month of each 24 hour day filled entirely with darkness in Alaska.
Everyone in the town is rushing about.
Many things are going on in the town, some purely accidental others completely strange.
Early into the night, a man working security is attacked by someone or thing.
Soon, without too much of a warning, the whole town is terrorized by some very bloodthirsty vampires.
Although the vampires have perfect timing, showing up just as each day becomes a full 24 hours of night it won't be all too lucky of a month for them.
